Google Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Review
Do you like this story?
Google released latest version of its mobile OS Android on June 27, 2012 which is made available for both tablets and mobile phones. Android 4.1 known as Jelly Bean (JB) is the most fastest and smoothest version of Android. It is an update for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which has lots of bug fixes, new features, new graphic interface with better icons and much more.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean comes with Siri like Google Voice Search which can be used to search anything. To start searching, just touch the microphone within the Google app or press the mic icon on the Google home screen widget. You can also say "Google" to wake up Voice Search, but there's no shortcut to just start speaking like the iPhone 4S (long-press home button). If Google has a specific answer to your query, it will present the answer in the form of a card. And if it doesn't, it will simply display search results from Google. Even if you do get a card, you can still scroll down to see additional results.
The main aim of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is to make it faster and much smoother like butter. The lock screen comes with dots radiating around it, you can simple swipe it to unlock. The home screen also has some modifications like time, day and date all are clustered in the top left corner. The icons are also made better and are made easy to tap on. There are also some additional animations when you open an app, which really looks awesome.
The most awesome feature of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is Google Now. It collects all information about weather at your current location, your search histories and gives a detailed information about things you need in the from of a card. Places cards will appear to suggest restaurants and bars, and you can check in right from the card. Near 20th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York, Places cards showed up for Eataly, Spoon, City Bakery, Victoria's Secret and other businesses. We could certainly see location-based offers showing up on the Google Now screen over time.
